Meet the team behind HeadingThere

Tom and Gev are the husband and wife team that first dreamed up HeadingThere on an overland trip from Europe to Australia. Our intrepid couple both set off to explore the world as fresh faced 18 year olds and neither has ever looked back (despite no longer being quite so fresh faced.) In her day job Gev is a nurse who has worked in hospitals on 4 continents, Tom refused to ever grow up and when people finally insisted he should get a job he did so at a world leading youth travel agency. Tom and Gev are currently living in Thailand where they enjoy drinking coconut shakes and talking to people about travel.

Kirsty Leckie-Palmer is currently working her way through a Film Journalism Mlitt in Glasgow. When she isn’t studying or writing about travel she writes about cinema for various websites. In her spare time, she reviews comedy festivals for FringeGuru and restaurants for Food & Drink guides. Kirsty likes her destinations quirky and cultural, and at the moment she is planning trips to Scandinavia and Japan. Kirsty does still love the bright lights and exhilaration of Vegas and dabbles in snowboarding, Victorian literature, retro video games and inventing words. Like blorange, for instance. The exact colour of her hair.
