Wild peacocks display their iridescent feathers at the Byodo-In Temple on Oahu, showing a different side to Hawaiiís complex cultural heritage. A spectacular spot amidst lush forest at the foot of the Koíolau Mountains, this Buddhist temple welcomes people of all faiths and is a replica of a 950 year old site in Japan.

Maui, crowed by two immense volcanoes, is the place to discover wild Hawaii. Valley State Park is a natural paradise full of unique flora and fauna, where hiking trails lead to lofty look-out points through tropical forest. The Maui Ocean centre is the place to get up close to Hawaiiís colourful and diverse marine life, including sharks and octopus.
