The county’s traditional Christmas markets are world renowned and begin in November, with Cologne and Hamburg hosting two of the most impressive examples. The home made mulled wine and German sausages sold at the markets will be sure to warm you up.

For those on a strict budget package deals to the Canary Islands are a fantastic choice. Close to Africa, these islands are hot all year round. For families, Tenerife is the best option with loads of top quality resorts. North Africa as a whole is a popular holiday destination in November. Flights to Egypt won’t come as cheap as those to Morocco, but can still be great value if you shop around.
