Staying at the airport: Liverpool Airport Hotels
There is nothing worse than being exhausted for the first day of your holiday. If have an early flight and want to stay at the airport, here are a couple of great Liverpool Airport Hotels:
When it comes to Liverpool airport hotels, you really can’t get much closer to the airport that the Hampton by Hilton. Directly across the road from the airport, you won’t even need a transfer in the morning. Simply collect one of the airport trolleys from outside the hotel and walk to your terminal. The location is fantastic, but the Hampton gets consistently good reviews for their excellent service too. When you book with Holiday Extras breakfast is included in the price and since they start serving at 4am you won’t miss out even if you have a really early start!
If you are looking for Liverpool airport parking, you can also book parking at the Hampton with Holiday Extras. There really couldn’t be an easier way to start your holiday; drive to the airport and park right across the road. Get a great night sleep and then when it’s time to go to the airport just stroll across. Best of all, it’s just as easy on the way home!
Another Liverpool airport hotel that also offers parking is the Holiday Inn Express. A little further away from the airport than the Hampton, the Holiday Inn Express is still less than a mile from John Lennon Airport. Although the hotel is not in walking distance of the airport, they do offer a taxi service (at any time of day) with a flat rate of £2.50 for the short drive up to the airport.
I was really pleased with the service at this hotel when I last flew from Liverpool Airport. The hotel staff were really lovely and were happy to chill our sparkling wine in their fridge while we went out to explore Liverpool (I like to start a holiday in style!) The room was immaculate and excellent value.
If you want to treat yourself and turn the airport into a less stressful experience, think about booking airport lounge access. Avoid the crowds, relax in comfortable seating and enjoy complementary snacks and drinks (alcoholic and none alcoholic) from the bar. The Liverpool Airport lounge has free Wi-Fi if you want to get online, or you could just chill out and watch some TV. If you are travelling with your family then children are also welcome. The lounge at John Lennon Airport is operated by Servisair and can be booked on the Holiday Extras website along with your airport parking and hotel.
