Thomas Cook have several Aqumania parks at their hotel locations. This will allow the children to go crazy and have a splash in the wild waters, whilst the adults can relax by the pool and cherish the peace and quiet.

Perhaps you would like to discover all kinds of cycling paths across the globe. Explore can cater for cyclists of any difficulty level, and their fabulous locations for family cycling include Croatia, Vietnam, Bangladesh and Cambodia.

If you would prefer to stay on the wetter side and fully submerge yourself, Active Adventures have plenty of locations for both experienced divers and novices to enjoy. With destinations including Egypt, Lanzarote and Cyprus.

In the south of England, there are several Working Farms in Dorset, Cornwall, Devon and Somerset. You can stay in beautiful cottages and explore the vast, stunning outdoor spaces.

For a location that is filled with a variety of activities to try out, Moors Valley in east Dorset allows eager adventurists to have a go at stargazing, orienteering and night cycling, to name but a few.

Other places in the United Kingdom that can offer a diverse range of activities are the several Center Parc locations. Each one is surrounded by striking woodlands, so it doesn’t matter where you stay. Whether you pick Wiltshire, Nottinghamshire, Cumbria or Suffolk, you’ll be immersed by splendour.

Toddler-friendly Destinations

Traveling with toddlers is a wonderful idea - it allows them to see so much of the World at a young age and it gives them new areas to explore.

Baby-friendly Boltholes have listed a number of fantastic cabins that the youngest members of the family can enjoy. Among them are The Cowshed in the village of Farnham, Dorset.

There is also the Red Barn in Cornwall. This is situated between two nature reverses, which will allow infants to discover all kinds of natural beauty that is commonly associated with the south coast of England.

Thomson can also cater for the younger children, with their specialist sessions aimed at 0-3 year olds that have been set up in several of their resorts. Crèches are open six days a week, and soft-play set ups allow infants to play with many wonderful soft toys.

Eurocamp have established several family-friendly destinations, and have arranged two specialist children’s activity clubs. The first of these is Mini Fun Station, which features a range of activities for kids between the ages of 6 months and 5 years.

The seconds of these clubs is Tumble Tots. This offers children of a similar age group a more structured programme of events to be a part of.

Ideal for ages 3-11

Both Thomson and Thomas Cook have a long list of destinations with ‘kids clubs’ for children of all ages to enjoy.

Every Thomson Family Resort has several kids clubs to accommodate for all age ranges. For 3-5 year olds, there is Tots. For 6-8 year olds, there is Team, and Tribe has been set up for children between the ages of 9 and 11. The parents can relax, knowing that the children will remain amused throughout the day.

The kids clubs that Thomas Cook have to keep children entertained, no matter what their ages are, include The Tiddlers, which will keep children between the ages of 3-4 happy. The Shoal is aimed at 5-7 year olds and The Reef has been established to give 8-11 year olds an unforgettable experience.

First Choice have several sunny destinations where kids can travel to and stay for free. This offer applies to hotels in Ibiza, Costa Dorada and Menorca, as well as many others.

If you have children under the ages of 7 and 12 they will be able to enjoy Euro Disney, where they can also stay and play for no charge at all. This offer includes hotel accommodation and entrance to both Disney theme parks.

Camp Beaumont have several locations across the UK that will allow children to try out all kinds of different activities. They have holiday periods during the summer and the Easter holidays, too.

August 2013 will see the return of kids week in London’s West End. This allows children below the age of 16 to see a number of live theatre shows for free with every adult ticket booked. There will also be the chance for them to participate in exciting workshops.

If you and your family enjoy being blown away by the sight of new places, but would rather explore at a pace that you can be in complete control of, there are many destinations that will allow you to have these kinds of experiences.

A simple way of doing this would be to take a camping holiday. There are many places to camp all over the World, and those on offer with Haven have nightlife included, along with lots of beautiful new sights to see.
