Located to the East of Africa, and its second most populous country, Ethiopia covers a large area, landlocked by Somalia, Sudan, Djibouti Kenya and Eritrea. Rising into the Ethiopian mountains in many areas, and riven by the Great Rift Valley, the country has a total population of over 82 million people, and its capital is Addis Ababa. Ethiopia has the most World Heritage Sites in Africa, including the ruins of the ancient city of Aksum and the rock-hewn churches at Lalibela. Don't miss the Simien Mountain National Park in the north of the country, where rugged heights reward trekkers with breath taking views of the country
