To the southwest of the north African country of Morocco, close to the Sahara Desert, Agadir is a popular destination thanks to its sandy beaches and temperate climate. Known for being a fishing area and port, its economy also relies on tourism from nearby Europe. More modern looking than many cities in Morocco, Agadir has a wonderful, uncrowded beach, a fortress, and three golf courses. Don't forget to haggle in the Souk El-Had, a marketplace with over 3000 stalls.
