Tokeh, which sits on the same unspoiled stretch of white sand as River No 2, was the home to Sierra Leone’s most prestigious resort; the Africana Tokey Village. The high end resort, once popular with French supermodels, was destroyed during the war. It’s easy to see why so many people came here though, as you walk on the unspoiled and empty beach.
The Tokeh Sands Resort is the exciting new development rising like a phoenix from the ashes of the old Africana, all be it on a much smaller scale. Tokeh Sands currently has 12 rooms and a restaurant although more is planned for the future.
