For many years China was an unknown quantity for travellers from the west, but since the country opened up in the 1980's it has become one of the most visited countries in the world and it is easy to see why. China hotels are very reasonably priced compared to European hotels and the service is fantastic and fascinating historical sites can be found all over the country (just think Great Wall of China or the Terracotta Army in Xi'an. Add to the mix an incredibly hospitable and friendly people and food that is simply to die for and you will soon see why people are flocking to visit China. With a country this big you should be thinking about a multi-centre holiday and an organised tour is a really popular way to experience everything that China has to offer.
