To the northeast of China, in the Liaoning province, the city of Dalian pinpoints the Liaodong peninsula, and looks out to the Yellow Sea. It has a population of 3.5 million inhabitants spread between its 8 districts. Its principal language is Mandarin, and the cityscape is chequered with concrete squares and green patches in which to relax. Don't miss the astounding springtime cherry blossoms which blush across the city's 3000 cherry trees.
