With a population of over 23 million people, Shanghai is the largest city in the world, as well as in China. It's located on the Yangtze River, between Beijing and Hong Kong, and forms a peninsula surrounded by smaller islands and bordered by the East China Sea. Shanghai is the most developed city in China, and is split in two by the Huangpu River. Head to the Bund for a look at some of the most architecturally diverse streets in the world, grab a view of the city at the top of the Oriental Pearl Tower and do a little souvenir shopping on Nanjing Road. The possibilities are endless.
