To the north east of India, in the state of Bengal, lies the city of Darjeeling, surrounded by the picturesque Himalayan hill region. The city is relatively small, with a population of 132,000 inhabitants, and the area is famous for its UNESCO recognised for its railway system, as well as the refreshing tea harvested from its verdant pastures.
