The largest city in South Korea, and its capital, Seoul has over 10 million inhabitants. It lies to the northwest of the country, and is riven by the Han River, a former trade route with China. A safe and exciting destination, Seoul has no fewer than four World Heritage Sites, including the 18th century Hwaseong Fortress. There are also five palaces, four major mountains nearby as well as parks, temples and shrines. Don't miss the amusement parks, casinos and art centres, Seoul really does have something for everyone.
