The Blue Mountains lie approximately 2 hours west of Sydney.  Access is easy by road, rail and bus.   The mountains are famous for magnificent views into deep sandstone canyons, cute villages with shops, cafes & cosy restaurants plus welcoming places to stay. 

 

You can choose a friendly B&B or farmstay around Blackheath, Katoomba, Leura, Bilpin or the Megalong Valley.   There are also 4 and 5 star hotels like The Carrington, Fairmont, Lilianfels & Echos.
