Fremantle is located at the mouth of the Swan River, closely linked to Perth in Western Australia Fremantle has a population of 25,000 people and is cooled by the refreshing sea breeze known as the Fremantle Doctor. Though closely linked to Perth, it's considered a separate city, and is sometimes known as Freo. Don't miss the whale watching, its markets and the beautiful architecture of its Maritime Museum. There are many interesting walks in its vicinity, including the Fishing Boat Harbour Trail, and the Manjaree Heritage Trail.
