If you are eating in, visit the Queen Victoria Market in the CBD first. This gigantic market is the place to find some of the best fresh produce in Victoria. The meat and fish hall is filled with lots of competing stalls so you can buy great quality food for your barbie at good prices. For visitors though the main attraction of the market is the souveneers, especially the ever popular Ugg boots. From November to February the night market takes over every Wednesday when the day time stalls are replaced by fabulous hot food stalls with over 30 different cuisines represented. There is live entertainment and there are a number of bars scattered around the market, so with free entry this is a great summer night out.
