It is difficult to know where to start with Melbourne awesome Chinatown, but the answer is the Post-Mao Cafe. This fascinating restaurant claims to have a chef that cooked for Chariman Mao himself and they profess to have some f his favourite dishes on their menu, with Mao icons dotted all over this restaurant it is of light hearted historical interest. The attentive and efficient staff will look after your every need and the food is of simple and tasty authentic Chinese origin meaning nice and spicy! Mao’s is reasonably priced and great for a lunch break from shopping, if eating dinner the aromatic duck is amazing, all wonderful slices of duck breast.
