Located on the eastern coastline of Queensland Australia lies the city of Rockhampton, with around 76,000 inhabitants. On the banks of the Fitzroy River, and just north of the Tropic of Capricorn, Rockhampton receives over 30 hours of sunshine annually. One of Queensland's oldest cities, the area is a popular tourist destination. As well as a Zoo, botanic garden and Heritage Village dated between 1850 and 1950, there are some appealing natural sites including the Mount Etna Caves National Park.
