On New Zealand's South Island lies the town of Picton, located in the Marlborough region of the country on the island's northern shores. It has a tiny population of just under 3000 people, and the neighbouring township of Waikaka with a population of 1100 people is a gateway to the Marlborough Sounds. Although a passing through point on any trip, there are many fun activities to enjoy in the area, including scuba diving, fishing and hiking. Don't miss the Edwin Fox, one of the oldest surviving vessels in the world, or arrange a dolphin watching tour!
