Cuba's capital city lies on the country's northern coastline, where the Gulf of Mexico joins the Caribbean. A hugely popular tourist destination, the city is famous for the laid back charms of World Heritage Site Old Havana, its architectural diversity and of course, Ernest Hemingway. As well as the usual rum and cigar factory tours, the city is a tapestry of live music, most prolifically jazz, with its impromptu beach promenade parties and Salsa.
