On the northernmost borderline of Mexico, near California, lies the city of Tijuana. It has a total population of1.3 million people living within city limits, and is also the westernmost city in Latin America. It is channelled by the Tijuana River, and has a very hilly city terrain. Tijuana has a brilliant climate, is well linked to both the US and Mexico city, and is a popular tourist destination. Feeling brave - Head to one of the bars in its popular red light district, well worth it as long as vigilance is exercised.
