Guide to Graz

map
Second to Vienna, Graz is Austria's biggest city, with a population of 291,000 inhabitants. As well as being a World Heritage Site, it was recognised as cultural capital for Europe in 2003. It sits on the Mur River and is 200km south of Vienna. It's famous as a university city, and for its landmark clock tower. Don't miss its lovely old town architecture, the baroque delights of Eggenberg Castle, and the Glockenspiel with its dancing wooden couple!
