Close to the Austrian border with Bavaria lies the small market town of St Johann in Tirol, with a total population of 8,766 people. At an elevation of 2162 feet, the town lies on remarkably flat ground between the Wilder Kaiser and the Kitzbüheler Horn. As well as being surrounded by several smaller hamlets, the town has a multitude of sporting facilities to offer visitors, including rifle shooting, archery, crazy golf and of course, the nearby ski resort.
