Located on the Neretva River by the Velez Mountain, the city of Mostar is one of the largest cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a total population of 128,000 people. It's famous for the beautiful bridge which spans the emerald river banks, which was built in the Ottoman style. It's officially recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. This picturesque city also has the historic Muslibegovica House which is worth a stroll through, and the front line, which marks the former divide between the Croats and the Bosniaks, and is surrounded by buildings which were hit hard by bombings on both sides.
