Guide to Trogir

map
Located on a small island, just off Croatia's southwest coastline, the town and harbour of Trogir has a total population of just under 13,000 people, and its historic centre is a UNESCO recognised Word Heritage Site. Encircled by robust city walls, Trogir is well known for its well-preserved medieval, baroque and gothic architecture. Its proximity to Split means it's the ideal destination for a day trip from the city. For those who commit to a longer stay, there are also white, powdery beaches, remote islands and Roman ruins to explore. Don't miss its formidable church tower, offering the best views across the island and the sea beyond.
