Guide to Zadar

map
The city of Zadar has a population of 75,000 people, and is located on the western shoreline of Croatia, facing the islands of Uglijan and Pasman, which are separated by the Zadar Strait. The city enjoys a pleasant Mediterranean climate, and is known as a historic centre as well as a Roman Catholic seat. Its old town has over 34 churches. Head to one of the beaches for a swim in the clear coastal waters, visit the nearby islands, or Plitvice National Park.
