Guide to Limassol

map
Cyprus's second largest city, with a population of 235,000 people, Limassol is a port on the southern coastline of the island, and the capital of the district of the same name. It's well known as a trade destination, as a tourism centre, and for its cultural standing. It's also a festival destination, with Limassol Carnival turning the streets bright with colour for ten days between February and March, and the Wine Festival of Cyprus, held in the city's Municipal Gardens.
