Guide to Olomouc

map
The former capital of Moravia, Olomouc is now a city in the Czech Republic, as well as one of its oldest areas. Around 102,000 people live Olomouc, and it lies to the east of the country, on the Morava River. Its Holy Trinity Column is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, though the city itself is full of ornate, lovely examples of historical architecture, with six baroque themed fountains, an Astronomical Clock dating to the 15th century, and the gothic grandeur of St Moritz church.
