Guide to Honfleur

map
On the southern bank of the Seine, in the Calvados department of north-western France lies the commune of Honfleur, with a population of 8,000 inhabitants. The town surrounds a 17th century harbour, and is also famous for its many historic buildings, including the quaint Saint-Catherine Church, built by ships carpenters at the turn of the 16th century, and les Jardins des Personalities, a garden full of busts of famous personages of the town. Don't miss its traditional market, every Saturday morning from 8am.
