Guide to Metz

With a population of 122,800 people, the city of Metz lies to the northeast of France, close to the border with Luxembourg and Germany. It's well known for its German heritage and rich 3000 year history. The old town is particularly lovely, for the yellow limestone that forms its buildings. Don't miss its picturesque Cathedral, with some stained glass windows by none other than Chagall!
