This 360 degree view is a Paris must see. Your entry fee includes a guide to help you to pick out all of the city's most famous sites, inside the tower the viewing area is also lined with display boards helping the visitor to identify buildings. The louvre looks particularly outstanding from this angle. The Eiffel Tower is the most famous viewing platform in Paris, but of course you can't see the Eiffel Tower from the Eiffel Tower!

The Montparnasse Tower is well worth visiting for amazing views over Paris (made all the better with plenty of information to help you spot places of interest) and has the massive advantage of not having the queues you see waiting to climb the Eiffel Tower. Price is reasonable, it's worth the money and it is located right on the metro and in central Paris so it's easy to get to.
