Paris is the sort of place that just keeps drawing you back, no matter how many times you have visited there is always more to discover about the city of lights. Perhaps one of the most famous districts is Montmatre, a bohemian suburb to the north of the city. It's most famous landmark is the Sacre Coeur church which sits proudly atop the hill that the district is formed around. The view from the church is arguably one of the best in the city, and many gather on the steps leading up to Sacre Coeur in the evening for a night view over the city. If you are up there on the hour, you also get a great view of the flickering lights of the Eiffel Tower, this runs every hour for five minutes during the hours of darkness.

The Eiffel Tower is one of the best known landmarks on the Parisian skyline and for many visitors climbing it is a must. If you prefer to avoid the queues, however, the far less well know Montparnasse Tower is a great option.

Paris is packed with things to see and do, from making a pilgrimage to the grave of Jim Morrison in Pere Lachaise cemetery, marveling at the Gothic architecture of Notre Dame on the Ile de la Cite or simply strolling down the Champs Elysees. There are some great day trips out of Paris, such as the splendid Versailles Palace and of course you couldn't forget the world's most famous art gallery; the Louvre.
