La Lanterne is the kind of typical Parisian bistro people hope to discover by chance and keep as ‘their little secret’ to impress friends with. Set on a small street off the Parc des Buttes Chaumont in the 19th, it welcomes with a cosy, friendly feel and a rustic look (wood beams, 1920s-themed paintings…) The cute roof terrace is pretty much everyone’s favourite spot and quick to fill come summer. Just as big a draw is the food. Gigot of lamb roasted for seven hours, steak tartare, foie gras, snails, scallops, andouillette – excellent very traditional French dishes are completely homemade at La Lanterne.
