Bremen lies to the northwest of Germany on the river Weser, 60km south of the North Sea. It has a population of 547,000 people. Known mainly as a commercial and industrial hub, the city is visited by tourists for its old town, most notably the gothic market square and the town's 11th century church, Liebfrauenkirche. Don't miss the rhododendron park, and the Universum Science Centre.
