Guide to Hamburg

map

Hamburg acts conveniently as Germany’s gateway to Scandinavia. There are regular rail connections to Copenhagen, from where you can take a train on to Gothenberg, Stockholm and Oslo. If you are heading to or from Denmark, Sweden or Norway you may need to make an overnight stop in Hamburg. While you are here why not walk the Kunstmeille (art mile) visiting the many galleries and museums? You could also make an early morning visit to the famous Hamburg fish market, or take a boat around the harbor. The once infamous Reeperbahn (red light district) has been significantly cleaned up and is worth a wander.
