In the South Aegean Sea, between the islands of Paros and Naxos lies the Greek island of Mykonos, around 85 square kilometres. It has a population of 9,300 inhabitants, and is a popular tourist destination. Along with the clubs and the cheap souvenirs, Mykonos is quite expensive. However, it also has a dazzling mythology attached to it as the place of a battle between Zeus and the Titans. Among its sights are 16th century windmills and Paraportiani, a well-known architectural site.
