Guide to Co Kerry

map
In the southwest of Ireland lies County Kerry, with a total population of 145,000 people, close to the Killarney National Park. It faces the Atlantic Ocean, and falls to the north of the River Shannon. It's considered to be one of the most naturally beautiful places in Ireland, and also known to experience quite heavy rainfall. Although there are no cities in the county, Caherciveen, Kenmare and Tralee are among its towns. Don't miss Scotia's grave, rumoured to be the burial site of the daughter of an Egyptian Pharaoh!
