Guide to Cork

map
To the very south of Ireland on its coastline, lies the city of Cork, which has been built around the River Lee. It has a total population of 119,000 people, making it the third most populous city in Ireland. Cork is famous for its monastic foundations, the beautiful St Finbarr's Cathedral and as one of the world's largest natural harbours. Don't miss it's impressive array of cultural festivals which take place throughout the year, between June and July the Midsummer Festival deploys music, theatre and art around the city, while the celebrated Jazz festival gets underway every October.
