Guide to Donegal

map
The town of Donegal lies in the country of the same name, to the northwest of the republic of Ireland and at the foot of the Bluestack Mountains. It has a population of just 2,300 residents. Its centre is known as The Diamond, and it's well linked to Dublin, Sligo and Galway. Tour the nearby Donegal Bay on the waterbus, play on the 18 hole championship course at Murvagh and don't miss the old graveyard and Franciscan Friary.
