Guide to Tralee

map
With a total population of 20,000 people, the town of Tralee lies on the western shores of the Republic of Ireland, in County Kerry. It's located on the northern shore of the Dingle Peninsula, which contains some of Ireland's most beautiful mountain scenery, as well as some medieval remains. The townscape is a beautiful place to explore on foot, and the area is well located for visits to Biennerville Windmill, the Caherconree Iron Age Fort as well as several bizarre Sheela Na Gig carvings, which can be spotted around the town.
