Guide to Brindisi

map
Situated on the coast of the Adriatic Sea in the southwest of Italy, Brindisi is in an agricultural area of Puglia, and has a population of 89,000 people. Its name means deer, and comes from the port area looking similar to a set of antlers. As well as many examples of Romanesque architecture, the area is surrounded by national parks and a marine reserve. Don't forget to take a boat trip to the Monument to Italian Sailors and enjoy a view of the city from a different perspective.
