Guide to Salerno

map
On Italy's western shore, in the Campania province on the Tyrrhenian Sea lies the city of Salerno, with a total population of 139,000 people. It's one of the sunniest towns in Italy, a port town, and well-connected to the World Heritage Site of Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park. Don't miss the striking architecture of Salerno Cathedral or a walk through the Villa Communale, which houses the Don Tullio Fountain, rare plants and the bright lights which transform it into the Enchanted Garden between November and April.
