Guide to Lillehammer

map
With a population of 26,000 inhabitants, Lillehammer is a medium-sized town on the eastern border of Norway and Sweden. It overlooks Lake Mjosa and the Lagen River. Famously host to the Winter Olympics in 1996, it is now due to welcome the Winter Youth Olympics in 2016. Be sure to visit Maihaugen, the largest open air museum in Norway and don't forget to schedule a trip on the PS Skibladner, the world's oldest paddle steamer!
