Many of the points of interest in Krakow are easily explored on foot, but for anything further afield there is a tram network. Getting to the centre from the airport (Balice) is easy with trains between the two every half hour. The journey takes just 20 minutes and costs 8 zloty.
Trams run from the centre (near the train station) to Kazimierz (which would be around a 20 minute walk otherwise) and out to Nova Huta.
