With a staggering population of nearly 8 million inhabitants, Lagos is the most populous city in Nigeria, and only second to Cairo as the most populous city in Africa! It's split between the mainland and several islands, including Lagos Island, Ikoyi, Victoria Island and the smaller Iddo. This means it's surrounded by some beautiful beaches, including Tarkwa Bay and Lighthouse Beach. Don't miss the Lekki Conservation Centre, a perfect relaxation spot for wildlife lovers.
