Tolmin is little town nearby emerald beauty Soca River. Soca is alpine river and is famous for its green-blue colour and for its purity.

 

Furthermore, Soca is paradise for lovers of adrenaline water sports (rafting, kayak, hydrospeed) and also for fishermen. In Soca River lives unique trout species called Salmo trutta marmoratus (also known as the marble trout).

 

 

Only a short walk from the town we can admire the wild Tolmin gorges, the lowest entrance into the Triglav National Park.

 

A few kilometres away we can see Memorial church Javorca, the most beautiful monument from the First World War. Church was entered into the list of European cultural heritage in 2006.

 

In the centre of Tolmin there is a Museum of Tolmin where one can explore the history of the whole Soča Valley.
