Make sure you bring your sunglasses to Antequera. I've heard beauty described as dazzling at times, but with the warm Andalucía sun beating down on the bright white walls of this Pueblo Blanco (white town), Antequera is literally dazzling.
When you lose yourself in the narrow alleyways of the old town it is easy to imagine yourself in a sleepy Andalucian village, but in fact the town is a lot larger than it seems. It is no museum either; I couldn't believe it when I turned a corner to find a house, as captivating as its neighbours, with the windows rattling to the beat of some truly hideous euro-techno. It seemed for a second out of place but it isn't, people live in Antequera; even teenagers with terrible taste in music.
