No, you need to transfer to a RENFE train to get to the airport. It is easy though, just like changing metro lines. The trains run every half hour. See this page for details:

There are also regular shuttle buses from Barcelona centre. They leave every five minutes. See here for details:

By the way - beware of the price of taxis if you are on a budget. A friend and I were charged €45 for a ten minute five mile ride from a central Barcelona hotel to the airport. Made my eyes water that.
