Guide to Marbella

Marbella holidays have been attracting A-list celebs for decades. When the Marbella Club Hotel was opened by a playboy prince in the 1950s the town soon became popular with European royals and showbiz royalty soon followed. Despite the huge popularity of the town though, there is no Marbella airport. After the beaches and the gorgeous Marbella weather most visitors to the town are probably drawn by the glamorous Marbella nightlife which centres around three main areas. As there is no Marbella airport you will almost certainly fly into Malaga which is the nearest airport to Marbella. Marbella airport transfers can be surprisingly expensive considering that there is a public bus that runs regularly from Malaga airport directly to the bus station in Marbella. It takes just 45 minutes and there are regular departures throughout the day from 0600 to 2245. A one way ticket is less than 5 Euros. Here is the timetable.
