Playa de las Americas nightlife is probably as famous as the stunning white sand beaches and the scorching Playa de las Americas weather. The sand on the beaches was imported from the Sahara, as you could argue was the weather.
Playa de las Americas is perhaps the brashest Tenerife resort with beach fun by day and loud music at night. If you are looking for an easy beach holiday and great nightlife this is the place for you. The resort has a bit of a reputation but has been undergoing a gradual facelift and now you will see as many chic five star hotels and trendy boutiques as cheap and cheerful hotels.
If you want to see some traditional Canarian life then it is thin on the ground in Playa de las Americas, fortunately a short bus journey will take you to some fantastic spots where there is barely another tourist in sight.
